I'm a great supporter of the international work this organization does, and admire the courage of its volunteers. A friend's personal experiences in Darfur brought its plight home to me through her candid and graphic journal entries.

As part of the Coastal Inspirations West Coast mosaic, (upper left on the web page) my panel (#13) is entitled, "Gulf Blush". The project is the latest in the series of large mosaic murals created using 12"x12" panels, each separate paintings in themselves, which are placed together to form a larger image. Each artist is given a pre-toned panel, and asked to create a painting which adheres to the theme, and also to the pre-painted tonal values.

This is a rich source of inspiration, discussion, and encouragement for artists.
